Day 13 was our final day on Camino Primitivo and we reached Santiago de Compostela after walking 25 km from A Brea. Our goal was to arrive by 1PM to meet our friend, did we make it?
Day 11+12 of our Camino Primitivo were not your standard Primitivo – we created our own routes! We visited the monastery of Sobrado dos Monxes and I met a lot of nasty dogs, read more of this crazy adventure!
On day 10 of our Camino Primitivo, we left the Roman walls of Lugo, visited the Roman sanctuary at Santa Eulalia de Bóveda, and met a gorgeous lady called Momo!
Day 8 and 9 on Camino Primitivo from A Fonsagrada to O Cádavo and onwards to Lugo. Changing scenery from hilly countryside to flat suburbans. Celebrate San Froilan and Columbus Day in Lugo.
On day 7 of Camino Primitivo, we crossed from Asturias into Galicia, met a strange bar owner, had Estrella Galicia and very juicy steak, and managed to not burn down a campsite with dodgy electricity.
A short but very scenic walk today down to the reservoir of Grandas de Salime, ice cream with a view, and a charming museum in the afternoon.
All pilgrims contemplating about the Camino Primitivo have one thing in their mind, and that is: the Hospitales route! Here we will dispel some myths but also give you some helpful tips and advice so that you don’t have to fear the Hospitales but at the same time treat it with respect so you can enjoy that nice cold beer in Berducedo.
